Enjoy panoramic ocean views steps from the sand in magical Careyes, Mexico.

Casita Hermanitas is a beautiful three-bedroom, three-bathroom house with panoramic ocean views just steps from Playa Rosa. The casita combines luxury with the indoor/outdoor lifestyle Careyes is known for.

The master bedroom, with a king size bed, has an attached full bathroom with double sinks, and a private day bed on the front terrace where you can relax or work in style with a full ocean view.

The kitchen and living room both have a full ocean view, and the couch with oversized cushions makes staying in or hosting dinner parties a breeze.

Keeping with Careyes’ indoor/outdoor living, the dining room table is on the outside terrace; enjoy watching dolphins while having your lunch, or relax in the two exterior day beds.

A few steps up, enjoy two additional bedrooms, one with a king size bed and built in bathroom, and the third with two bunk beds with trundles (sleep up to six, great for kids!) and a built in bathroom with tub.

In the back there is one additional room with a washer/dryer, and another bed with trundle for overflow guests.

Casita Hermanitas is great for families or groups; we can also subdivide the property to offer only a 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom.

Meet Careyes — where art meets the very best of Italy on Mexico’s pacific coast.

Careyes is one of the most unique places on Earth where nature, art, architecture, community, and wildlife are sacred.

Careyes is an exclusive luxury private estate resort comprised of Ocean Castles, Private Villas, Casitas and Bungalows. It is located in Costalegre on the Mexican Pacific beaches of the south coast of Jalisco, Mexico.

Founded by Gian Franco Brignone in 1968, this continuously family owned and operated unique private beach resort combines the sensuality of the Mediterranean with a unique architecture and the hospitality of Mexico.

The community in Careyes is equally as important, beautiful and colorful as the place itself. Eccentric, elegant, educated, multi lingual and generally fascinating, they are all characters. Likewise, are the guests who are compelled to visit this most magical land.

Careyes’ specific combination of natural beauty, architecture and sybaritic lifestyle, make it one of the world's most coveted destinations among the cognoscenti. For more information about Careyes please visit www.careyes.com.

FAQs

What’s behind the name?

Casita Hermanitas means “Little Sisters House” — we have three beautiful daughters, and named the house after them.

I’ve never been to Careyes before, what is it like?

Careyes is a truly magical place, unique in both Mexico and the world. There are no all inclusive resorts or even hotels nearby, and the people that come here do so because of its uniqueness. Situated in the middle of a nature preserve on top of some of the most beautiful bays in the world, the calm, bathtub temperature ocean water awaits. In one of the eight restaurants in the area, you’re likely to hear a mix of Spanish, English, French, and Italian, as the founder of Careyes was Italian, and the owners of the houses here come from Mexico, the United States, and Europe.

How hard is it to get to?

The closest airport is Manzanillo International Airport (ZLO), about an hour 15 minute drive to Casita Hermanitas. Depending on the season, there are multiple nonstop flights from Los Angeles per week (about 2.5 hours), as well as two daily nonstop flights from Mexico City (about 1 hour). Alternatively, you may fly into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), about a 2 hour 30 minute drive to Casita Hermanitas, where there are daily nonstops from many places in the United States.

Do I need to rent a car?

Casita Hermanitas comes with an optional car that belongs to the house, at $30/day, plus the cost of gasoline. A seven person minivan, the car is comfortable for the Careyes environment. We can also have our casero (house manager) pick you up from either Manzanillo or Puerto Vallarta. Alternatively, from Puerto Vallarta you may Uber (about $100) or rent a car, and from Manzanillo you can take a taxi (about $100). Once here, our casero (if hired) is able to take you to where you need to go locally.

What comes with the house?

All the creature comforts you’d expect come with the house; basic toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner), 100% organic cotton towels and sheets, and plush pillows and comforters. Beach towels are also provided. In the kitchen, there is a coffee maker, an ice cream maker, filtered water, and plenty of silverware, plates, pots, and pans. The house also has fibre internet, with Eero routers throughout for a fast and reliable Wifi connection. Optionally, you may also hire our casero to cook for you, run errands, and drive you places. He can also pick you up or drop you off from the airport. You may also optionally rent our car for your use while you are here, if you prefer to drive yourself.
